My drafts folder contains a post titled ‘Updates to Integrated Fitness & Nutrition’ from 16 June 2023, the date of my last post. I got busy and never got around to sending that post, which is unfortunate because it would have explained the radio silence, especially for those who have subscribed since then. I wanted to finally share that update alongside an opportunity to be involved in an exciting project I am currently working on.
The update
After nine years of working with private clients and organisations to achieve their health, wellbeing and performance goals, I closed the coaching business to new clients in the middle of 2023. I enjoyed working with private clients since 2014, but my focus progressively switched to delivering large-scale health and wellbeing solutions to large organisations.
The years of working with individuals to develop strategies to overcome their challenges continue to inform strategies for larger organisations.
While I would love to restart the Substack in the future, as I enjoy writing these articles, this is unlikely in the near term as I’m currently putting time and effort into other projects. This brings us to the second part of this email…
The invitation
I am building an app to help people implement high-impact health habits. The app delivers tools and resources to drive education, adherence and behaviour change.
The high-impact health habits are evidence-based actions that you will find in government guidelines and are based on long-term research from leading health research institutions such as Harvard University.
These are presented in a simple and engaging app that leverages principles of health behaviour change and provides data-driven recommendations to help improve health habits.
I am reticent to describe it as a ‘coach in your pocket’ because it doesn’t provide many of the things a coach does. However, it is a great way to get some of the ‘big rocks’ in place to develop foundational health habits at a fraction of a coach’s cost.
What’s required?
I am looking for users to test the prototype app and provide feedback. This will occur through two 28-day windows, with the first commencing in late April and the second in late June (dates will be confirmed in the coming weeks).
You will be asked to do the following:
Daily - complete response to seven questions about your high-impact health habits (this should take 10-30 seconds)
Weekly - complete a feedback form (this should take 2-3 minutes).
I am seeking feedback from a diverse range of users, including previous clients and people I have never worked with but are familiar with IFN through articles or online. It would be great to hear if you’ve been a long-term reader and if this interests you.
What’s in it for you?
In addition to helping an old friend, you will receive a 12-month subscription to the app when it launches if you complete 80% of daily check-ins and 75% of weekly feedback reports. Your feedback will improve the app’s quality, making the free 12-month subscription more valuable!
What to do if you’re interested?
Register your interest via the link below or respond to this email. The only information required now is an email address and your name. Further information will be provided when testing dates are confirmed.
Please reply to this email directly if you have any questions.
