Another great option that’s different from your typical running--trail running. It’s helped me rediscover my love of running and is more like a combo between running and hiking!

Great idea! I've never tried trail running, mostly because I'm not a huge fan of snakes, but I think it's something I should try. It's also great to be out in nature and running on the softer surfaces instead of concrete.

Full disclosure...my wife saved me from stepping on a copperhead (a venomous snake here in Texas) several months ago. But that was an isolated incident!

And yes, it is definitely easier on your joints, I can tell a big difference with that based on how I feel the day after a trail run v. a road run.

I really enjoyed this. There is a wide variety of sports for people to make the right choose for them and maybe try something new. I’d never thought about structuring walking like this and will be giving it a go. Thank you
